Lots of DX on the Air Many DXpeditions are currently active like Kosovo, Annobon, Easter Island and more. Others are coming up.
Names Tags and Hats The Sign Man makes our name tags with both pin and magnetic mounts available. See Metro web site for a link. John K9DRS, is our point man if you would like to order a Metro DX Club hat.
Metro Picnic We are still in need of a new picnic location this year. Phil and Cindy are fantastic hosts but will not be able to host the picnic this year.
Donations Our donation fund has run low so a vote was taken and approved to award $100 each to INDXA, NCDXF and Club Log with the money to be taken out of our general fund. This is the same amount awarded last year.
May Meeting After some discussion our May meeting will be on the 3rd Friday as usual. The Dayton Hamvention is the same weekend and many members are going to Dayton. If the date changes, all will be notified.
Field Day Jerry K9LOT has offered the club the use of his motor home. We will be operating 2A again this year. Will probably use 2 double extended zepps instead of the vertical and 2 el Stepper.
Estate Planning Talked a bit about including your ham equipment in estate plans. Also, we have been successful in selling off ham gear for the families of SK's. Some of these funds were given to the club which we then use as donations to DXpeditions and DX foundations.
