Plan to join the Metro DX Club net for our weekly nets on the NC9T repeater, 442.025 MHz (PL 100 Hz) at 7:30 on the first and 4th Fridays of the month. On the 2nd Friday we have been invited to join the NIDXA ZOOM meeting. On the third Friday we will have a ZOOM club meeting. Our next net will be on Friday, May 29. Watch for details.
Our regular meetings are at the Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency located at 17355 S. 68th Court in Tinley Park, IL in the operations room on the ground floor. Our next meeting will be scheduled after the Covid-19 pandemic eases.
Watch for the Metro DX Club's 2020 Special Event Special Event Station W9C operation, June 19-21, 2020. The event will recall the huge Crescent City FIREBALL that occurred on Father's Day, June 21, 1970, FIFTY YEARS AGO. CLICK HERE for the details.

The 2019 W9DXCC Convention was fun for over 200 hams and the Banquet dinner participants enjoyed a great keynote presentation by Martin Jue K5FLU, the founder of MFJ. Our annual Winterfest dinner in January was attended by 22 members and guests at Papa Joe's in Orland Park. Everyone had a great dinner and there were lots of prizes for all.
Welcome back to former member Pat, W9PDS. Pat was very busy with "life" and has now found the time to enjoy Ham Radio again.
Mike/K9AJ with his friend Nando, IT9YRE, activated a new IOTA entity SA-101 Alejandro Selkirk Island-the most western island of the CE0Z island group, February 3-5 using the call CBØZ. They made about 1,200 QSOs using CW, SSB and FT8.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and cancellation of many events, our March 20 meeting was held on-the-air on the NC9T repeater with call-ins via Skype.
