WINTERFEST WRAP UP 2022
In lieu of our March meeting, we held our annual Winterfest on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Papa Joe’s restaurant in Orland Park. It was postponed from our usual January date due to COVID concerns. 16 Metro members and guests attended, and we were able to use their banquet room which allowed for more privacy and room to move around. Our president, Jim N9TK passed out free door prize tickets and offered tickets to those interested in our 50-50 raffle. There were enough door prizes for everyone attending. We sat down for a nice meal followed by the raffle and 50-50 drawing. There was more time later to mingle with everyone attending. It seemed like everyone had a good time.
It was decided that the Club’s share of the 50-50 raffle would be donated to UNICEF, Ukraine Children’s Relief fund. Some attendees donated additional dollars so our total donation will be $100.00.
We would like to thank our prize donors including K9LA, our ARRL Central Division director, DX Engineering, MFJ Enterprises, KB3IFH QSL’s and others.
We hope to see everyone again at next year’s WINTERFEST.
